Got a Right Swipe and A Perfect Match! Beware! Noida Businessman Duped of ₹6.5Cr in Dating Scam!

In a recent dishonesty story, Daljit Singh, an entrepreneur from Noida, was the victim of an incredible ₹6.5 crore scam that was planned using a dating app.

On March 26, 2025, the businessman, who lives in Sector 36 and owns a company in Delhi, filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police, revealing a clever plot orchestrated by a woman he met online.

When Daljit and Anita Chauhan connected on a well-known dating site in December 2024, the story started.  What began as friendly conversations quickly turned into a convincing argument: Anita persuaded Daljit that he didn’t need any prior trading knowledge to make large gains using an online trading program.

Daljit made the risky decision and originally invested ₹3.2 lakh after being seduced by the prospect of quick cash.  He was ecstatic to receive a profit of ₹24,000, which encouraged him to pursue further.

Driven by this initial success, Daljit invested an astounding ₹6.52 crore in the program, moving money to a number of bank accounts, some of which were loans.  However, when he tried to withdraw his profits from the trading sites, SpreadMKT and Sprecdex.cc, the fantasy of financial windfalls swiftly turned into a nightmare.

Daljit began to suspect foul play when the platforms wanted a high 30% security deposit and then an extra ₹61 lakh “exchange service fee.”

When Daljit learned that his bank accounts had been compromised, the situation took a more sinister turn, raising concerns that his private data had fallen into the wrong hands. Daljit has now gone to the authorities for immediate assistance since he and his mother are facing financial ruin and safety worries.

Daljit gave the Cyber Crime Police a wealth of evidence, including transaction logs, Anita’s contact information, and facts about the questionable trade websites, as part of his passionate plea. The case serves as a terrifying reminder of the dangers that exist in the digital age, where trust may come at an unthinkable cost, as detectives delve deeper into this high-stakes fraud.
