In his opening remarks, Kant emphasized the achievement of India stack, including Aadhaar, Co-Win, UPI, DigiLocker, and BHASHINI, as well as their possible advantage for the rest of the world. He stated as much at the event hosted by the G20 Secretariat in collaboration with Nasscom, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), and the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL). “DPI (Digital Public Infrastructure) serves an essential function in offering equitable accessibility to public services successfully and efficiently,” he remarked.

According to Kant, “India has made enormous progress in the digital domain over the past few years.” He emphasized that the country’s DPI is distinguished by open standards, open APIs, and interoperability, which might make it easier for emerging and least economically disadvantaged nations to embrace.
Discussions at the event also included the expense of establishing fundamental DPI that functions for a competitive market, innovation, and inclusiveness, as well as issues linked to financing safe, inclusive, and trusted public infrastructure.
The government is also displaying the DPI at a specifically designed zone called the “Digital India Experience” for foreign visitors, highlighting major platforms created to address issues like digital identification, financial inclusion, and equitable access to health and education.
An official statement stated that private sector companies, including Google, Microsoft, PayTM, Fractaboo, AWS, and TCS, took part in the zone and demonstrated the innovative potential of DPI.
The participants were also given speeches on the value of DPIs and India’s ambitious DPI agenda during its G20 Presidency by NandanNilekani, co-founder and chairman of the board of Infosys, and Thierry Bretton, commissioner for the EU’s internal market.
