Israel based company, NSO Group’s spyware pegasus was being used to conduct surveillance on 300 Indian citizens, the list includes names of many popular personalities and some of the high ranking government officials, businessmen, lawyers, journalists, names of two current cabinet ministers are also said to be included in this tragic incident. The leaked database of 50,000 numbers globally is also said to have many Indian journalists on their target. The cyber forensic team has confirmed the targeting of 37 phones out of which 10-9 iPhones and one android were Indian.

Apart from Indian, other West Asian countries like UAE, BAHRAIN, and PAKISTAN, FRANCE HUNGARY are the other prominent countries on the list. The allegations even affect the monsoon session of parliament.
