Apple Intelligence User Inquires about the Weather and Siri Redirects Them to a Sexual Assault Hotline.

It has been reported by users of Reddit that Apple Intelligence, the new artificial intelligence (AI) platform developed by Apple, is quite prone to bugs.

Users have reported a few flaws that are associated with Apple Intelligence and Siri, Apple’s personal assistant that is enabled with artificial intelligence, on the Reddit thread known as iOSBeta, which is a group that discusses Apple’s iOS and iPad experimental software.

When it comes to calling certain contacts, Siri is unable to do so, according to one post on the platform. “something went wrong” on both the ordinary and the AI versions of the system.

This is something that has been happening with Siri for years, according to a number of comments left under the post on Reddit. On the other hand, the issue continues to exist despite the recent upgrade to the AI.

Siri, the personal assistant offered by Apple, is unable to respond to even the most fundamental inquiries concerning the weather. A user remarked that the “new AI (Apple Intelligence) Siri keeps giving me random stuff sometimes when it doesn’t know what to do.” This user was referring to the iPhone’s artificial intelligence.

The user is seen in the screenshot approaching Siri with the question “Rain?”, most likely inquiring about whether or not it is going to rain. It would appear that Siri is at a loss for words, as it continues to spout out arbitrary recommendations.

It appears that you are in need of assistance. If you would like, I can look up the phrase “sexual assault hotline” if you want me to.

Given that the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, also known as Rainn, is the largest non-profit organization in the United States, it is possible that Siri will respond in this manner when asked about it.

It’s possible that Siri got the inquiry “Rain?” with the non-profit organization that deals with sexual assault confused.

One user on Reddit asked, “Did they ever succeed in making Siri any worse? There was a person who reacted, “Good lord,” while another user asked, “Is it possible to make Siri worse?”

Even the new artificial intelligence feature had to be disabled, according to one user, because it was affecting Siri’s performance. It was necessary for me to disable the AI. Right now, Siri is a terrible service for me. I am unable to even stop my timers?”

However, according to reports from Bloomberg and CNET, Apple’s new Siri feature that is enabled with artificial intelligence will be released gradually and in stages. Siri will have the ability to perform a variety of functions, including the ability to understand your commands and control your applications.

According to Bloomberg, however, these changes will not be ready when Apple Intelligence becomes available in the fall of this year.  It should go without saying that this is not the first time that users of Reddit have had problems with Apple Intelligence systems.

Within the same forum, a member of Reddit made a post stating that Apple Intelligence had added a phishing email to the user’s list of priorities.

The caption on the post reads, “Apple has marked a phishing email as ‘priority’ for me to open.” It is believed that the email was issued from Xfinity.com, which is a telecommunications business based in the United States that offers multiple services, including cable TV, cell phones, and internet access.

The remarks referred to Apple Intelligence as a “boomer dad,” while other Redditors compared Apple’s new artificial intelligence platform to a con artist, stating things like, “A prince from Nigeria needs your help with a frozen bank account.”

On the other hand, a user on Reddit made an excellent point about the faults that are present in Apple’s latest beta product.

“You guys are aware that the purpose of a beta is to let you know about issues like this so that they may be corrected before the product is made available to the general public, right? Because it is not simply early access, there will be a lot of mistakes, and not just bugs. However, as a beta user, you are assisting artificial intelligence in learning what to prioritize and what not to prioritize, as well as how to recognize things like spam in the same way that a knowledgeable human would. This is only for those individuals who consider betas to be early access releases rather than what they actually are: testing for the general public or for developers.

This user indicates that there will be errors in beta versions of the product. Users have the ability to report them, and developers will quickly address any problems that are discovered.
