In mesh topology each device is connected to every other device on the network through a dedicated point-to-point link. Mesh has n(n-1)/2 physical channels to link n devices.
In star topology every device in tha network is connected to a central device called switch. star topology doesn’t allow direct communication between devices, a device must have to communicate through hub. If one device want to sent data to other device in network. First it sent to switch then switch transmit that data to that designated device.
In bus topology there is a backbone cable and all tha devices are connected to this backbone cable through drop lines. There is a device called tap that connects the drop line to the main cable. Since all the data is transmitted over the main cable, there is a limit of drop lines and the distance a main cable can have.
In ring topology as you see in above picture each node is connected to two other nodes, forward and backward, thus formula a single continuous path for signal transmission.
Combination of two to more topology is called hybrid topology. Like as you see in above picture star and ring topology are combined.
